But we are still a long way off seeing the revolutionary impact that technology can have on a sector, as seen in banking and financial services. Is the legal services sector ready to embrace AI, predictive technology and automation?
Together, we want to consider how we unleash the benefits of technology and innovation to benefit people who need legal services, lawyers, law firms and society.
In this online webinar, we will explore:
- What has changed in the last three years
- The effect of the Covid-19 pandemic
- The impacts of new services and technologies
- Perceptions of the barriers to developing new services or to introducing new technologies.
We will also share which technologies providers anticipate using in the next few years, including technologies that can make it easier for people to use legal services.

Our consultation on promoting technology and innovation
Technology has the potential to widen access to legal services dramatically, and the LSB is committed to ensuring that regulation unlocks its benefits for consumers and providers.
We are currently consulting on draft statutory guidance on promoting technology and innovation to improve access to legal services. The consultation closes on 2 October 2023.
