On 21 June 2023, the Legal Service Board, in collaboration with Clifford Chance, held an event focused on creating a legal services profession that better reflects the society it services.
The programme included a presentation on qualitative research by the Legal Services Board on the barriers the lawyers from underrepresented groups experience when trying to enter and progress through the legal services profession.
Clifford Chance discussed how they use the Theory of Change model as the basis of their approach to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and they described how it can be applied in other organisations, large or small. Bridging the Bar described their work to create a more inclusive bar in England and Wales.
