Chris Nichols, Director of Policy and Regulation at the LSB, discussed the role that technology could play in helping more people and small businesses access legal services at the Westminster Legal Policy Forum.
He spoke about why regulation needs to be open to innovation and technology, and how this can be achieved, for example, through:
- being active in supporting innovation;
- understanding consumer needs, and how technology can address these;
- actively collaborate more with stakeholders; and
- ensuring regulatory frameworks address risk.
